UK: Do you feel european? why?

I'm from Ireland (note: it is NOT a part of the UK) and I feel very comfortable about having a European identity. Many of my friends feel the same way. Being European does not make me any less Irish, nor less proud of my country, but is an adjunct to my identity. I spent some time in Dubai, and missed Europe, not necessarily Ireland.
