A 1yr old male guinea pig is lonely - shall i get him a male or female friend?

Well, I own two guinea pigs and they are males and they fight. This is a rare type of fighting because they are brothers. 2 male guinea pigs who are introduced when they are adults will fight. It will be expensive, but maybe you could get snoopy's bits cut of and then have a female and they wouldn't mate.
