How to tame a wild cat??

There is a wild cat that hangs around aur barn. He is an unfixed male, and he is still young. I would say he is about a year. I really want to tame him because he looks exactly like my kitty who died a year ago. The only problem is that I can't even touch him and he's not at the barn all the time. Any suggestions on how I could at least get him to trust me?? Thanks!
