If Palin is the only thing that gives McCain a chance then why is anybody shocked she is being attacked?

McCain's chances were dying before he picked Palin. All the excitement is about her and not him. She is the most unqualified person to ever be nominated for national executive office. Why would anyone think she shouldn't be questioned about her qualifications?
